1. Overview
SpotFlare is primarily a mobile application. Most tracking occurs through mobile SDKs and app-level mechanisms rather than traditional browser cookies.
2. What We Use and Why
2.1 Essential Technologies
You cannot opt out of these while using SpotFlare.
- Authentication tokens — keep you logged in; expire automatically
- Local app state — minimal device storage for offline browsing and session
- Push notification tokens (Apple APNs, Google FCM)
- Active claim codes — persisted locally for Open to Meet session resilience
2.2 Analytics and Performance
- Usage analytics — aggregated and anonymized
- Crash reporting — device type, OS, app state at crash
- Performance monitoring via Google Cloud Platform tools
2.3 Location Technologies
We use device GPS through the Mapbox SDK to show nearby events, display approximate neighborhood-level location during Open to Meet, and render maps. We use the "While Using" location permission only — never Always On or background access.
2.4 Third-Party SDKs
- Mapbox SDK — mapbox.com/legal/privacy
- Stripe SDK — stripe.com/privacy
- Twilio — twilio.com/legal/privacy
- Google Cloud / Firebase — policies.google.com/privacy
