- Use a real photo of yourself as your profile photo
- Don't impersonate other users, public figures, or SpotFlare
- No fake or duplicate accounts
- Don't misrepresent your age — you must be 18+
- No misleading usernames
Identity fraud results in immediate, permanent termination.
2. Respect Everyone
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation
- No unsolicited sexual or romantic messages — SpotFlare is not a dating app
- No discrimination based on protected characteristics
- No slurs, hate speech, or dehumanizing language
- No threats of violence
- No doxxing
3. Events Must Be Real
- No fake or misleading events
- Don't create events you don't intend to host
- Don't lure people to unsafe locations
- No commercial advertising or spam without prior written approval
- No events promoting illegal activity
- No hateful, discriminatory, or harmful event themes
- Cancel in the app so attendees are notified promptly
4. Open to Meet — Conduct Standards
- Not for romantic or sexual solicitation
- Not for targeting specific individuals
- Be honest about what you're looking for
- No solicitation of money, goods, or services
- If someone declines or doesn't respond, respect that
- Meet in public places and tell someone where you're going
5. Content Standards
- No sexually explicit or graphic content
- No graphic violence or shock content
- No content promoting self-harm or suicide
- No public-health/safety misinformation
- No IP-infringing content
- No spam or repetitive content
- No promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, or activities
6. Privacy of Others
- Don't photograph or record others without consent
- Don't share private info, location, or contact details without consent
- Don't share screenshots of private conversations without consent
- Don't share another user's personal QR code without permission
- Don't use approximate location to surveil another user
7. Safety
- Report concerning behavior with the Report button on any profile or conversation
- Block anyone who harasses you — they will not be notified
- Call 911 in an emergency — SpotFlare is not emergency services
- Meet new people in public; tell a friend where you're going; trust your instincts
- Don't share your home or workplace address with people you don't know
Three reports from different users within 30 days trigger automatic suspension pending review.
8. No Commercial Activity
- No selling products or services
- No business promotion without prior written approval
- No soliciting money or donations
- No MLM or investment recruitment
9. Legal Compliance
- Don't plan, promote, or facilitate illegal activity
- Don't use SpotFlare for trafficking or exploitation
- Don't violate any applicable laws
SpotFlare cooperates fully with law enforcement investigations.
10. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may:
- Remove the content
- Issue a warning
- Restrict specific features (e.g. event creation, Open to Meet)
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Permanently terminate the account
- Report activity to law enforcement
11. Appeals
Email support@spotflare.app with subject "Community Guidelines Appeal." Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement.
12. Changes to These Guidelines
We will notify you of material changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
